Manufacturing Scope
Woosung can support the full manufacturing route from technical review through to finished component supply.
Typical scope includes review of 2D drawings and 3D models, pattern and mould development, casting production, heat treatment where required, rough machining or full machining, dimensional inspection, ultrasonic and magnetic particle testing where specified, mechanical and chemical test reports, protective coating and export packing.
This allows customers to work with one controlled supply route from casting to final machined component, reducing the risk of handling casting, machining and inspection through separate suppliers.
Materials
Woosung manufactures flow control and cooling system cast components in ductile iron, SGI, cast iron, cast steel, stainless steel, heat-resistant steel and project-specific alloys subject to drawing and specification review.
Material suitability is reviewed based on the component geometry, operating environment, machining requirements, inspection requirements and final application.
For pressure-related or process equipment parts, material grade, NDT requirements, wall thickness, machining allowance and documentation requirements should be confirmed during the technical review stage.
Machining and Critical Interfaces
For flow control and cooling system components, machining is often critical to final assembly.
Typical machined features may include flange faces, sealing areas, gasket surfaces, bores, bolt holes, threaded holes, cover interfaces, bearing areas, mounting faces and datum surfaces.

Quality Control and Inspection
Each project can be managed through an agreed Inspection Control Plan covering raw materials, moulding, pouring, chemical composition, mechanical testing, casting dimensions, machining, NDT, final inspection, marking and packing.
Depending on the customer’s requirements, inspection documentation may include material test certificates, chemical composition reports, mechanical test results, dimensional inspection reports, UT and MT reports, heat treatment records, coating records and packing records.
Inspection requirements are reviewed before production so that the casting, machining and documentation scope is aligned with the customer’s drawing and specification.
